TMEM175 is a lysosomal ion channel that acts as both a proton and potassium channel, playing a crucial role in maintaining lysosomal pH. It is essential for lysosomal function and is linked to the risk of developing Parkinson’s disease, as mutations in TMEM175 can lead to impaired lysosomal degradation and increased neuronal susceptibility to alpha-synuclein aggregation. 

This product is a cell-based, fluorescence-compatible model with stable expression in HEK293T cells, supporting FLIPR, Panoptic and Flextation workflows in the therapeutic area of Parkinson’s disease.
